Abstract

This article addresses the question proposed in the title by describing the place of the philosophy of woman within the whole of Stein’s philosophy and discussing the place of gender within Stein’s philosophical anthropology. Some typical differences of the sexes as perceived by Stein are outlined and discussed in order to reflect on what answer to give to the question raised.
